A great night out in the city is all about unwinding, and time spent at the ticket counter should feel like a quick and convenient stop rather than a time-consuming chore. Now, reclaiming that pre-show excitement is easier for fans of movies and live entertainment as TicketNet and Gateway Cineplex 18 officially roll out Apple Pay support for onsite, over-the-counter payments.
With Apple Pay integration, TicketNet customers now have more onsite payment options when purchasing tickets. The new payment method provides an alternative to cash and physical credit cards, giving customers greater flexibility when securing tickets at physical box office windows. Whether they prefer to travel light or want a convenient and secure way to pay, customers can now use the digital cards stored on their compatible devices.
The integration of Apple Pay is part of TicketNet’s ongoing efforts to make the ticket-buying experience faster and more convenient. By adopting contactless payment technology, TicketNet aims to address common challenges at physical ticket counters, including searching for cash or cards and spending additional time completing transactions. With a quick authentication process, including Face ID on supported devices, customers can complete their payments efficiently and get their tickets with less hassle.
“At TicketNet, our goal has always been to modernize the local entertainment infrastructure by meeting our patrons exactly where they are digitally. Integrating Apple Pay at our physical box offices removes unnecessary friction, ensuring that securing a ticket is just as swift and enjoyable as the show itself,” said Irene L. Jose, Chief Operating Officer of Uniprom, the entertainment arm of the Araneta Group.
The Apple Pay rollout gives moviegoers, concertgoers, and event attendees another convenient way to purchase tickets at participating TicketNet outlets. Customers can visit their nearest TicketNet box office to secure tickets for the latest movies, concerts, and live entertainment events.
