Sony Introduces WH-1000XM4C Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones and Updates Popular Mid and Entry Level Wireless Headphones with WH-CH730N and WH-CH530
Sony is refreshing its popular wireless headphone lineup with the new WH-1000XM4C, WH-CH730N, and WH-CH530, giving music lovers, commuters, students, remote workers, and everyday listeners more options for premium sound, noise cancellation, comfort, and wireless connectivity.
The new Sony WH-1000XM4C wireless noise-cancelling headphones build on the well-known WH-1000XM4, combining Sony’s 1000X Series noise cancellation with premium sound quality and its classic over-ear design. The updated model features new sound tuning designed for current music trends, along with personalized audio settings and a 10-band equalizer that lets users adjust their listening experience. The WH-1000XM4C will be available in Black, Platinum Silver, and Lavender starting October 30, 2026.
Designed for travelers, commuters, remote workers, music enthusiasts, and students, the WH-1000XM4C features Sony’s 1000X Series noise cancellation to help reduce everyday sounds such as traffic, crowds, and city noise. Its lightweight and foldable design also makes it convenient for travel and daily use.
Alongside the WH-1000XM4C, Sony is also expanding its more accessible wireless headphone range with the Sony WH-CH730N and WH-CH530. The WH-CH730N combines noise cancellation, customizable sound, comfortable design, and practical everyday features for users looking for an affordable wireless noise-cancelling headphone option.
The Sony WH-CH730N features Dual Noise Sensor technology, a lightweight and foldable over-ear design, and battery life of up to 50 hours with noise cancellation enabled. Its quick-charging feature can provide up to one hour of playback with just three minutes of charging. The headphones also offer customizable audio settings, improved call quality, Multipoint connection, LE Audio, and Fast Pair and Swift Pair compatibility.
For calls, the WH-CH730N uses Precise Voice Pickup Technology with beamforming microphones, optimized microphone placement, and AI-powered noise reduction to help deliver clearer voice communication, even in noisy environments. The model is available in Black, White, Pink, Beige, and Blue.
Meanwhile, the Sony WH-CH530 serves as an entry-level wireless headphone option for users who want dependable audio for music, streaming, online classes, meetings, and everyday entertainment. The lightweight on-ear headphones offer up to 55 hours of battery life, quick charging, customizable EQ settings, and AI noise reduction for clearer calls.
The WH-CH530 is available in six colors: Black, White, Pink, Cobalt, Coral, and Mint. It also features a soft head cushion, intuitive button controls, built-in voice assistant support, Multipoint connectivity, Fast Pair, Swift Pair, and LE Audio compatibility.
According to Sony, the refreshed headphone lineup is designed to provide a wider range of wireless audio choices across different needs and budgets. The new models join Sony’s existing headphone offerings, including the 1000X THE COLLEXION and WH-1000XM6, giving consumers more choices for premium, everyday, and entry-level wireless listening.
The Sony WH-1000XM4C will be available from October 30, 2026, while the WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 became available on September 25, 2026. The WH-1000XM4C comes in Black, Platinum Silver, and Lavender, while the WH-CH730N and WH-CH530 offer multiple color choices.
