What’s fueling PH Motorcycle Sales? An MDPPA Q2 2025 Deep Dive

The Philippine motorcycle industry continues its impressive growth streak, with Q2 2025 sales reaching 910,923 units, marking a 4.8% increase from the 876,074 units sold in the same period last year. This strong performance highlights the country’s rising demand for two-wheeled vehicles as practical, affordable, and efficient transportation solutions.

Motorcycles Remain a Top Choice for Filipino Commuters

According to the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA), the surge is driven by motorcycles’ affordability, fuel efficiency, and ability to navigate traffic congestion, making them a staple for urban and rural mobility.

“Filipinos continue to see two-wheeled vehicles as a practical solution to daily commuting challenges,” said Alex Cumpas, MDPPA President.
